I'm a girl's girl (who's clearly in need of a headshot.) A safe space. A wife. A mother. A friend. I'm 30. A Sagittarius. I love Gilmore Girls, scary movies, cookie dough with a glass (or two) of Prosecco, a cozy blanket, a lit candle, reading, watching cult classics, sneakers, dramatic earrings, intellectual conversations, thrift stores, old houses with wrap around porches, pepper sauce on my cornbread, my mama, and Ray Lamontagne! I started photography in 2019 on a Pentax k1000 film camera and haven't put one down since.
This is the actual blue door that inspired the name "Blue Door Photo Co" when I started this business back in 2020. It was the first image ever taken on the first film camera I ever purchased that I learned how to manually photograph with, of my daughters Ava + Lilliana (age 5, ca. 2019) standing in front of our first home as a newly blended family.
My approach
I live for the in between moments when I step behind the camera, not just the perfectly arranged smiles. The quiet ones that slip by unnoticed.
My portrait style is a gentle blend of timeless, posed imagery and the unscripted fragments of life that tell the truest story of you. I like to move softly, almost like a fly on the wall, watching as the laughter unfolds, glances are exchanged, tears are shed, and tender gestures weave themselves into memory.
Whether it's a wedding day brimming with anticipation or a family gathered close at home, I seek out the beauty in both the composed and the candid, creating photographs that feel not only seen but deeply felt - portraits that linger like poetry, long after the moment has passed.

I believe being your photographer means stepping into more than just the role of an observer, though.
On wedding days or during sessions, I slip seamlessly into the rhythm of your world - holding veils against the wind, fetching water when needed, pinning boutonnieres with careful hands, or playing with your little ones until their laughter comes naturally. I don't rush or force the moment; instead I wait for it to unfold in its own time.
My goal is to serve quietly but wholeheartedly, so that the photographs we create together feel effortless, authentic to you, and touched with genuine care so that in fifty years, when you pull them down from the attic and look at them, it feels like you never that moment.
